SBGF Rio 2025: Presenting on Multi-Parameter Elastic FWI

S-Cube recently concluded a successful visit to the SBGF Conference in Rio de Janeiro, underscoring its advanced seismic imaging technology in collaboration with key industry partners.
During the conference, S-Cube presented results with leading energy companies, including Petrobras and Shell, discussing innovative solutions for complex subsurface challenges. A key focus of the visit was the presentation of compelling results derived from the company's cutting-edge work in Multi-Parameter Elastic Full Waveform Inversion (FWI). These results demonstrate significant improvements in subsurface model accuracy especially in challenging settings.
Technical Publication on AWS EHO
In addition to our conference activities, S-Cube is proud to announce a recent technical publication related to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Energy HPC Orchestrator (EHO) initiative.
This publication details our efforts to leverage high-performance cloud computing environments, specifically within the AWS framework, to accelerate and scale complex geophysical algorithms like Elastic FWI.

Onshore FWI in India: S-Cube & ONGC Recognised at SEG Bengaluru for Bengal Basin Results
Vikas Vats and Christos Mavropoulos of S-Cube and Saheb Ghosh of ONGC-GEOPIC received SEG certificates of appreciation for their talks on full waveform inversion in India, and Nikhil Shah of S-Cube was recognised for his keynote. The talks showed the first FWI results on real Indian field data, now guiding exploration and development decisions. The joint work applied Time-Space-Lag FWI (TSL-FWI™) to a legacy onshore dynamite survey in the Bengal Basin, correcting velocity distortions below 6 km, 4x deeper than diving waves reach. The case study is published as an SEG 2026 paper.

Transforming Energy Exploration: Technology, Sustainability, and Innovation Symposium
S-Cube presents four technical talks in Bengaluru on Friday 25 September, including a joint session with ONGC-GEOPIC on land seismic FWI in the Bengal Basin — among the first FWI applications in India with ONGC, spanning both offshore and onshore settings. The talks cover next-generation FWI for land and marine applications and building confidence away from well control with Time-Space-Lag FWI.

IMAGE '26: S-Cube presents Time Space Lag FWI for Land and Marine Settings
S-Cube has had two abstracts accepted for oral presentations at IMAGE 2026 in Houston (August 17-20). The talks cover onshore subsalt updates via FWI-Derived-Reflectivity-Driven Reflection Waveform Inversion, and breaking through complex salt by harnessing Time-Space-Lag Adaptive Waveform Inversion together with Reflection Waveform Inversion.
